Researchers from the University of Colorado and the National Center for Atmospheric Research will be on a panel this weekend in Keystone that will discuss the effects climate change will have on skiing and snow. The discussion, titled "The Future of Skiing: The Science Behind Snow," will take place at 4 p.m. Saturday at Arapahoe Basin's A-Frame Lodge. The panelists will be James White, the director of CU's Institute of Arctic and Alpine Research; Katja Friedrich, an associate professor with CU's Department of Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences; and Keith Musselman, a researcher at NCAR.


The panelists will discuss climate change and the effect it will have on snow and the skiing and snowboarding industry. The panel is being sponsored by Arapahoe Basin and Boulder-based nonprofit Protect Our Winters.  The event if free and open to the public. For more information, visit:
